The battle was fought from 11/08 - 16/08. Then 17 was a lull. Then again 18/8-19/08 (with the help of Sea Tigers).
Ultimately, tigers withdrew from their captured areas (1st and 2nd Sinhala FDL).
A total of 372 Tiger fighters attained martyrdom
