//This documentary does a good job of showcasing the immoral acts done against the Tamil people during post colonial times and the mechanism behind the nationalist ideology. But allot of the facts are fabricated/Manipulated/omitted for shock value and to to fit in the Israel-Sri Lanka comparisons which is far fetched and seems to be done intentionally.//

For the above comment Arun Replied:

//Much of the information regarding the settler colonies wasn't pulled from sources sympathetic to the LTTE. They were pulled from UTHR-J, founded by Rajan Hoole who was famously vocal against the LTTE.

//This and several other parts of the documentary actually pull from a wide variety of sources both from Tamil nationalists and from those who denounce the LTTE. I have also referenced M.A. Nuhman in later parts, and Nuhman is a very anti-LTTE author.

//I have to vehemently disagree with the idea that the comparisons between Sri Lanka and Israel are far-fetched: while it is true that there are major differences between the two states (different conditions necessarily mean the comparison cannot be one-to-one), both have deeply collaborated with one another especially during the war-time period. The comparisons are done intentionally because there are stark similarities between Sinhala Buddhist nationalism and Zionism, be it in the rhetoric espoused by nationalists or the government methods of committing crimes against the Tamil population.

//On top of that the herding of civilians into No-Fire Zones by the Sri Lanka Armed Forces that was seen in Mullaitivu district in order to immediately bomb them, is almost the exact same strategy employed by the IDF in Gaza. In addition to that, many counter-insurgency/counter-terrorism experts in the wake of Oct 7, openly advocated the necessity of employing the "Mahinda Rajapaksa/Sri Lankan model" of ending terrorism in Gaza.//
